Chicago Bears +2

The Bears offense has shown improvement over the last 3 Weeks due to Chandlers steady play and injured players coming back. Thomas’s return has given them balance and Booker returns this Week. ( neither played against Detroit 2 Weeks ago)
The Lions defense will likely be without CB’s Bly and Wyrick, leaving them with Otis Smith, Doug Evans as starters and 1 other CB on the roster. Chicago will field a full complement of receivers that have a height, speed and talent advantage. The Lions are in the dilemma of risking the secondary to stop the run.
The Lions passing game has been desperate with Shaun Bryson out of the backfield being their best option. With Chicago’s defense back from injuries, look for them to contain Bryson and Gary, leaving Detroit with plenty of 2nd, 3rd long downs.
Detroit’s ST’s have been playing well and Reggie Swinton can be dangerous, however, newly acquired punter Nick Harris is a real liability . After playing 2 reasonable games, it is only a matter of time before this joker messes up big time.
I cant go without mentioning some negatives( probably why Detroit are favorites) Home advantage, loud crowd, 11 straight road losses, Pro-Bowler C Olin Kreutz being injured.
As for the 11 road losses, this is the worst team they have met in that period. All the other negatives can be remedied by an expected strong running game.

Whatever your picks are this Weekend, Good Luck.

PS: I don’t know about the US but the exchanges in Britain are now making The Bears 1 pt favorites.

Update.

Bears' Pro Bowl center Olin Kreutz practiced on Friday for the first time this week and declared his sprained right ankle ready for Sunday's game against the Lions.
Detroit Lions CB Roderick Babers (shoulder) will likely be a game-time decision for Week 10.
Detroit Lions CB Dre' Bly (hamstring) will likely be a game-time decision for Week 10.

We are seeing more of these game time decisions this year. I feel if a player has sat out practice all Week and is made a GTD, he is as good as scratched.

Good Luck today.
